The goals and objectives of the Diabetes Education Centre of Parry Sound and Area Communities can be summarized in one very important statement;

Diabetes Education will provide you with the knowledge and skills that you need to manage your diabetes on a day to day basis.

We offer education and support to individuals with diabetes, family members and caregivers. The Diabetes Education Centre team consists of a Registered Nurse and Registered Dietitian. They have the time and knowledge to answer your questions and will help you to effectively manage your diabetes. In addition we endeavour to act as a resource to other health care providers in the community.

Through a variety of educational programs we will provide you with the information that you need to;

• manage your meal plan
• monitor your medication
• test your blood and understand the results
• we can help you to manage the stressors in your life
• enjoy the benefits of regular physical activity.
